Creating Online Synergy with Your Cleaning Business

The Web provides a means for you to deliver valuable services to your customers that enriches your customers’ lives and saves them time. In doing so, you will increase customer loyalty. The Internet is primarily a social medium. The most effective and profitable web sites are those that foster community among their visitors.

It is crucial to understand that on the Internet, the user is in complete control. Hard selling will not work, and will probably antagonize your prospects. Profitable web sites are information rich, resourceful and intelligently maintained. They post articles, answer questions and control the display of their website that is relevant to their target market. Web sites that are organized with plenty of internal links make their important pages only a click or two away. Effective sites write content in a clean and modern style that can be quickly scanned by the eye.

You can reduce the cost of repetitive questions and requests from your target audience by allowing them to access information about your business from your web site. In doing so, you can be assured that your target audience is receiving information about all the services that your business offers, such as incorporating a FAQ (frequently asked questions) page to your site. Your site should also enable communication between yourself and the potential/existing client. Ideally, you should offer your customers the choice of submitting their inquiry by more than one method, e.g. by online form, comments section and email message. As you deepen the relationship with your audience via online newsletters, raffles and other marketing campaigns, you’ll develop a precise flow or direction for your web sites main purpose.

Utilizing a web designer or performing the layout yourself does not need to take months and thousands of dollars. Typically, a good business plan for your website should list and adhere to your company’s main objective and follow through on that throughout the web. Some businesses only want to build an email list for their newsletter and other promotional advertisements. Others want to create an atmosphere similar to a show room. They want you to feel like they’re right there with you every step of the way. Just decide on your hierarchy of priorities. Branding yourself and your business online can be an extremely lucrative endeavor when practiced responsibly.

Exceeding the Business Model

People are cool and unique creatures. What works perfect for you, may not work exactly the same way for me when human factors come into play. Generally, anyone can duplicate someone’s business model and accomplish similar plateaus. The greatest challenge is to utilize your own special skills and talents to optimize the system or model and exceed the current results.

I’ve seen this happen over and over again with my own business and with my cleaning guide that I wrote. As for my own business, some of my employees have gone on to start their own businesses and used some of the principles that I valued and instilled within our cleaning service as a foundation for theirs. I couldn’t be happier for them. Two of the girls created a partnership and started a modern way of doing business. They started a day care center annex to their cleaning business as an added benefit and convenience for their employees. She took a look around at some of the reasons why some employees couldn’t work or was late due to not having safe and reliable day care for their children. They analyzed an age old problem and took the resolve to manage it so effectively that they’re well known as a great company to work for. They even have a 6-month waiting list for new hires! They have solid employees that are actually happy to go to work and all they have to do is promote the company’s services and grow; the sky’s the limit!

As for people utilizing my book, “The Maui Guide to a Successful Cleaning Business”, I’ve received a lot of touching and amazing letters and emails from some very happy and successful business owners. From married couples getting out of the rat race and spending all their time together growing their business and planning their future to retire young; to others that are single parents like me and have surpassed my own monthly income! Some have learned how to manage the business so efficiently right from the beginning that they never had to start out cleaning themselves. They acquired enough clients to warrant hiring someone right away, which gave her the time to promote and grow the business with her children at her side.

Being from Maui and loving the culture and the people, I’ve absorbed what the meaning of the aloha spirit really means. You give more than you take, and you treat everyone like family. We’re all connected and responsible for each other. It’s a loving way to live your life. That’s how I tried to treat my business; all my clients and employees were family. So, in regards to the earlier statement about the innate challenge to exceed a business model and take it to a new height, it’s also like watching your children grow up to create their own rich lives that far exceeds your own dreams for them. So, as a mother, a business owner or writer, I really want the best for everybody. I made my own way in life the best I knew at the time. Looking back I should ‘a, could ‘a, would ‘a, doesn’t matter. I’m a work in progress. But, if I can show other people a path to accomplish their dreams, and they can do it faster, better and more intelligently than I did, then right on!

Aloooooohaaaa!
